The first scoreless game that I can remember over the last few years. A tight, evenly matched game in which Rudi was twice through with thekeeper to beat but GK had good saves. Again the defence of Kyle Maxwell, Craig Blair and Shaun Alexander played well. Jamie Booth enjoyed moving from sweeper to centre midfield in the last 2 games and good to see Scott Crossan coming back to fitness up front.
A game refereed by Alan Bruce due to the no show by the referee. Again we struggling for bodies with just one sub due to injuries and 2 or 3 boys received knocks during the game but had to play on - Ryan Connolly,Dean McKirdy, Gurpal Singh. Thistle scored first but Rudi Kingwaya then scored quickly afterwards. Gurpal Singh, suffering from a bad back scored a fine goal before having to come off. Notbad for his last touch!. The second half was comfortable for us with the defence of Kyle Maxwell as
A disappointing result but a match that we were missing a couple of keyplayers due to injury and suspension (Alistair Gardner injured in RegionalSelect game the night before) and Rudi Kingwaya, top scorer, suspended. The game was even but a poorly controlled backpass let in Barrhead to scoreafter 20 mins. A further goal just before half time made it an uphillbattle. Barrhead's two pacey strikers caused our defence bother all day andthe cup dream was over for another year.
Our third and final league fixture resulted in a win, draw and a defeatagainst Port Glasgow this season. We had a poor first half, Rudi Kingwaya missing a couple of great chances, and we lost a second goal right on half time to go in 2-0 down. However a great performance in the next half hour led us into a 4-2 lead.Shaun Alexander scored with a penalty after Gurpal Singh was brought down.It looked a softer award than the challenge on Shaun in the first half that
Played on astrograss to beat the weather we suffered a defeat against midtable Arsenal BC.We were missing a few players due to illness, injuries and holidays sodebutants Chris Bonnar and Mark McHendry played for us. Dean McKirdy also played in goals as our GK was injured. We started the game well playing a lot of good football and there was some good link, on the right side, play with Chris, Mark, Alistair Gardner and Jordan McSkeane in particular. We did not create many clear cut chances
Our first game for 5 weeks and a strong wind against us in the first half. Blantyre used the wind getting the ball forward early and putting pressure on us and we were 3-0 down mid way through the first half. At the start of the second half Rudy scored and we looked as if we could get more goals. However Blantyre scored before Alistair scored his first ever goal for us near the end.A disappointing result but one we could not complain about after the start we had.
Our first game since before Christmas and again our rustiness showed with a terrible start with a goal conceded in the first couple of minutes against a team that we beat comfortably in the first game of the season. A bumpy pitch did not help our play and we struggled to get the ball down and to play good football. A further goal scored in the last minute of the half made it an uphill struggle for the second half.
Home game which we switched to Nethercraigs in order to get the game played. The coaches switched a few of the boys starting positions to freshen things up and try to find a successful formula. A loss was Alistair Gardner who broke a finger at school on Friday.

This was always going to be a tough match against a team who have alreadybeaten us twice this season - in the league and the Scottish Cup. Howeverafter last week's league win against leaders Celtic we were all confidentdespite being several players short through injuries and other absences.Pollok started slightly the better team and hit the bar early on but Busbytook the league when Rudy Kingwaya was put through and coolly slotted pastthe keeper. The game went from end to end and in the last minute of the
