Busby Amateur Football Club

A great result in the 1st round of the Scottish Cup although it took us
until mid way through the second half to get the breakthrough.

A tight first half with Busby on top but creating very few clear cut
chances. The play was a little scrappy and Alan Bruce asked everyone to up
their game at half time.

The second half was all Busby with Haldane hardly getting into our half. We
were however finding it hard to get behind their defence and get clear
shots on goal.

The first goal was a beauty though with Chris Clark coming from full back
and beating his man in midfield before curling a low shot into the corner.
The pattern of the game was the same and again it took us time to get the
second but a cross/shot from Tony Guatella went over the keeper's head for
2-0. The third was from a cross on the right along the 6 yard line, Kyle
Maxwell just missed it and Shaun Alexander, playing wide right, followed up
to side foot a finish from 6 yards. The final goal in the closing minute
was from Blair Johnson.

A good performance especially in the second half.
