A convincing victory by Busby which achieved from the team's quality performance particularly in the first half. Considering that a number of players were unavailable mainly through injury and also following a disappointingly defeat a couple days earlier; the team approached the game very positively and technically played quality football. Defensively the Busby unit showed signs of organisational merit while collectively demonstrated good tactical awareness. Goalkeeper Danny Wright did not experience major problems from the opposition; while in the centre of the field Craig Fry and Steve Doyle exhibited a degree of determination to win every challenge. The striking partnership between Nicky Green and David Fry was effective and both players scored a goal each. The third goal came from Chris Harkin following a scramble in the opposition's six yard box.The referee's performance was slightly disappointing and the stoppages on couple occasions seemed unnecessary while the bookings of two Busby players were somewhat unjustified. Towards the final minutes of the game Mark Gilfillan picked up a painful injury in a messy challenge though later was proved that this was not as critical as suspected. After a very positive display throughout the game Craig Fry received the MOM award.
