Mon 1st June: Busby 8 - 2 Hamilton

The last game of the season was played in glorious sunshine and like the last few games Busby got of to a perfect start with Lewis Jamison scoring after a great run to make it 1-0 after 5 minutes. Busby went into overdrive and Hamilton were playing the offside trap very well that saw Busby strikers caught offside time after time and having two goals chalked off. A fine run by Callum Young saw the ball go straight across the line and Lewis scored again from close in. Attack was the name of the game and the third goal was a peach from Craigy that went right in the top corner. The team captain  Fraser Moxey decided to get in on the act with a great solo goal that started in his own half and a quick one two  then dribbling round a couple of players resulted in the goal of the game. Hamilton pulled one back and just to round off things off Andy Cunningham got the Busby 5th.
The second half started with Busby going full out and a fine pass from Lewis saw Liam Kinney go round the Hamilton keeper to make it 6.The Busby team were all trying to get in the scoring act with all the players trying their luck but the 7th goal was special from a loose ball Liam Kinney picked the ball up from 20 yards and hit a left foot shoot straight into the net .A own goal  gave Hamilton a consolation 2nd goal; before Michael Henry wrapped up the game. 8-2 victory. It  is hard to name a man of the match but Lewis Jamison and Conner Harrison were outstanding but this was a big team performance and well done to team captain Fraser Moxey, The team have had a great second half to the season and if they stay together they will be a force to be reckoned with. A big thanks to Stuart, Congo and  Scott for all their hard work this season and a big thanks to all the players and parents.
