March 21st .Busby U14 1 - 2 Southside.

This was Busby's chance to play the team at the top of the table.Busby started well and it was a tough midfield battle that created few shooting chances for either team. The breakthrough came in the twentith minute when the Southside midfield created a chance and their striker scored from close range. That's how the first half ended. The second half started the same way a midfield battle with the Busby midfield and defence playing exceptionally well and with ten minutes of the second half gone Busby got their break. It was one of the few times the Busby forwards got past a very tight Southside defence. A through ball from Lewis Jamison was picked up by Callum Young who got the ball to Liam Kinney, Liam still had a lot to do but he got past the Southside defence to send the ball over the keeper to make it 1-1. The game looked to be heading for a draw but Southside got another goal from a set piece with ten minutes left and despite a few half chances for Busby that's how the game ended. Busby can take a lot out of this game they equalled Southside in all departments and on another day might have taken something from the game. The man of the match this week could go to any of the Busby defence or midfield but Andy Cunningham just about edged it.
