Busby Amateur Football Club

The Under 15's entertained Westwood Rovers from the ERSDA league in the regional cup at Woodfarm Astro. Busby totally dominated the match from start to finish and ran out comfortable winners while never being truly tested. With players missing the 15s where able to make changes and give decent run outs to players who have been 'kicking their heels on the bench', mainly due to the recent run of form and performances from the guys in the starting jerseys. An early succession of corners finally resulted in the opening goal of the game, a great ball from Stuart Taylor was met on the volley by Euan Waugh leaving the inform keeper with little chance. He then doubled his and Busby's tally when running onto a through pass and sending the ball in via the underside of the bar. Delali Boccorh and David Cosgrove added their names to the 1st half score-sheet. Westwood pulled a goal back almost straight from kick off in the second half, before Euan Waugh completed his hat-trick soon after. Goals from Jamie Meldrum and a Mark McHendry penalty completed the scoring in the match, however Busby could and should have hit double figures.
