SAT 11/10/08 Busby 2 Vs Baillieston 3 (Scottish Cup, Round 2)

An early exit from the Scottish Cup for Busby caused mainly by the team's failure to penalise the opposition by scoring goal opportunities in the first half of the game. The Busby 21s pushed themselves and put a great effort for the last 20 minutes of the game but it was too late to overturn the goal deficit. At the later part of the game Busby generated goalscoring changes, played good football and producing numerous attacking moves but at the end these were not enough to prevent their departure from the competition. Outstanding performances by goalkeeper Danny Wright and Steven Gemmel who returned after a short absence in the past couple of weeks. The team show the first start for David Howson who came back after long term injury.
